Govt. of Liberia Signs 1-million Grant Agreement…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has signed a one million United States dollar grant agreement with Korea’s International Cooperation Agency to support rural youth in agriculture.

The program aims to provide young people with skills, technology, and opportunities to build careers and businesses across Liberia’s rice and cassava value chains.

Speaking on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the signing ceremony in Congo Town, Agriculture Minister Dr. Alexander Nuetah said:” The move reflects the government’s determination to increase agricultural productivity”.

Minister Nuetah believes the program will provide young Liberians with opportunities in the value chain, especially from production and processing to machinery operations, transportation, marketing, and agribusiness.

Meanwhile, Korea’s International Cooperation Agency Director to Liberia, Kim Eunsub, said the program will be expanded nationwide based on its success.
