MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Health Ministry, through the National AIDS and STIs Control Program, is continuing its Hepatitis B vaccination campaign for healthcare workers and other vulnerable populations.
The exercise is part of the continued observance of World Hepatitis Day, observed on July 28 each year, to expand testing, lower treatment costs, and increase vaccine access.
A Health Ministry release says Hepatitis B vaccination is safe, effective, and helps prevent Hepatitis B infection.
Health officials say early diagnosis, vaccination, and appropriate treatment remain key priorities in reducing infections, preventing liver disease, and saving lives.
The Ministry is, therefore, calling on eligible individuals, especially health workers, to take advantage of the vaccination campaign and protect themselves against Hepatitis B.
