MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation says it is making significant progress in expanding access to pipe-borne water across the Country.
LWSC Managing Director Mohammed Ali said:” The Corporation recently completed the construction of a 48-inch transmission pipeline in Monrovia as part of its expansion efforts”.
The LWSC Managing Director spoke on Tuesday, August 12, 2026, in Monrovia during the National Steering Committee Meeting on the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.
According to Ali, pipe-borne water coverage in the Country before the ascendancy of the Unity Party government in 2024 was at five percent.
The LWSC Managing Director said that figure has now increased to nine percent in 2026, with an expectation of an increase in the percentage by next 2027.
