MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has issued a second Travel Advisory implementing strict health measures at all borders to counter the evolving threat of an Ebola outbreak in the region.
The mandatory protocols take effect immediately across all airports, land borders, crossing points, and seaports.
A release emphasized that the steps are vital to safeguarding public health and preventing the virus from entering the country.
Under the new directive, all arriving travelers are to fill out a Surveillance Form, either on board their transport or immediately upon arrival, and go through health screening.
The Ministry of Health is also urging all travelers and transport operators to strictly practice infection prevention measures, such as regular hand washing and avoiding unnecessary physical contact.
