Food& Agric Org Rep. Wants Liberian Youths Prioritize Agriculture

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Food and Agriculture Organization Resident Representative, Godwin Cudjoe, wants Liberian youths to prioritize agriculture.

Cudjoe wants Liberia’s youthful population to become farmers, processors, machinery operators, and agribusiness owners to reduce hunger in the Country.

The FAO Representative in Liberia was speaking on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Congo Town when the Agriculture Ministry and Korea’s International Cooperation Agency signed a grant agreement to support rural youth in agriculture.

Cudjoe emphasized that agriculture and Agrifood Systems offer one of the most important avenues, noting that it is time for Liberians to move beyond seeing agriculture as farming.

He pledged the FAO’s commitment to the Liberian Government’s ARREST Agenda, especially agriculture.
