US Dept. of State Revokes over 175,000 Visas…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The US Department of State has revoked more than 175 thousand visas from foreign nationals for violating the terms of their visas.

The revocations result from the State Department’s ongoing vetting operations, which ensure that visa recipients abide by the terms of their visas.

Their violations ranged from various crimes committed, such as violence against US citizens, defrauding Americans, abuse of the immigration system, and endangering national security.

According to the State Department, the majority of these visas were revoked due to law enforcement encounters for criminal activities, assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, theft, and drug-related crimes.
