RIVER GEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-River Gee County District Two Representative, Isaac Wuo, has rejected an expulsion announcement made by the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).
Representative Wou, through his office, described the move as illegal, disrespectful, and a publicity stunt.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, CDC Chairman Janka Kowo announced the expulsion of Representative Wuo, an Executive Member of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), for allegedly signing in support of the removal of former Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
In a sharp rebuttal, the Executive Secretary in the office of Representative Wuo, James Geeplay, said,” The CDC’s action represents a continuous gross disrespect to the people of District #2, Rivergee County”.
He noted that similar overreach previously led to the NPP’s withdrawal from what was already a dissolving coalition.
At the same time, the office of Representative Wuo has condemned as “false and misleading” a Daily Observer publication claiming he denied signing the resolution to expel former Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
According to the Lawmaker’s office, Representative Wuo is among the 49 members of the House who signed and endorsed the resolution calling for Kolubah’s expulsion.
The Office of Representative Wuo described the publication as “a deliberate attempt to misinform the public and damage the reputation of the Rivergee County Lawmaker.
The office has formally called on the newspaper’s publisher and editorial management to issue a public retraction and a formal apology.
The Lawmaker’s office reaffirmed his commitment to upholding national peace, stability, and the dignity of the Legislature.
