MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reiterated the Government of Liberia’s commitment to democratic governance, peace, and security.
The Liberian Leader also confirmed the government’s support for economic transformation, energy, infrastructure development, and opportunities for the Liberian people.
President Boakai committed on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when he held bilateral discussions with US Congressman Gregory Meeks on the margins of the 81st UN General Assembly.
The President assured that the government, under his leadership, will continue to improve people’s livelihoods through job creation and increased investment.
An Executive Mansion release said the bilateral engagements are part of President Boakai’s mission to deepen Liberia’s diplomatic relations and attract greater trade and investment to support national development.
It also highlighted Liberia’s role as a member of the UN Security Council for 2026-2027, and the need for continued Liberia-U.S. cooperation in promoting regional peace and global security.
