Labor Ministry Launches ‘Special Alien Permits Verification Exercise’

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Labor has launched a ‘Special Alien Work Permits Verification Exercise’, aimed at verifying and curbing persistent reports of work permit duplication.

A Labor Ministry release on Thursday, September 17, 2026, revealed that the exercise is under the direct supervision of Labor Minister Cllr. Cooper Kruah.

It added that the exercise is being carried out at major foreign-owned investment companies across Monrovia and will be extended to the counties.

Minister Kruah is heading the Taskforce set up to implement the exercise, along with Inspector General John Karngbah, Chief of Staff Stanley Barh, and Acting Public Affairs Director Frederick Baye, among others.
