Its not common to see club teams honoring top football executives in Liberia for their efforts in sports development in the County.
This is very rare in Liberia sports sector.
But that has been broken by a grassroot football organization, the Robert Sports Academy. The grassroot football team Thursday honored and certificated LFA president Mustaphai Raji at the LFA headquarters in the Swamkamore Community.
The Robert Sports Academy led by its Chief Executive Officer, Robert Feahn and other top executives paid special tribute to Mr. Raji for what the club calls his tremendous support and commitment in seeing grassroot football excel in Liberia.
The Robert Sports Academy CEO Robert Feahn said “Mr. Raji, you have been an inspiration to grassroot football and us the stakeholders. I didn’t know anything about grassroot football until two years ago when I saw the work you were doing for the sector”.
Mr. Feahn added that many kids are running to grassroot football because of the leadership of Mr. Raji.
The Liberia Football Association President Mustaphai Raji receiving a portrait of him and a certificate, thanked the Robert Sports Academy for the recognition.
Mr. Raji said the football house will continue to implore means to lift grassroot football to a high standard that will attract more people and businesses.
“Its a collective effort by myself and the Executive Committee and staffers at the LFA. We will continue to develop football in a very positive way for our boys and girls. Our over all goal is to give each and every kid opportunity to harness their talents. We will continue with the grassroot program. We are committed to it, that’s why we have established our own academy, the LFA Henry Brown Academy to help develop the grassroot players into national and international stars” Mr. Raji said.
The Robert Sports Academy runs grassroot football programs for kids under 10, 12, 15 and 17. The RSA is running programs for both boys and girls.
The Academy is also helping several of the kids with financial assistance to go to school.
