Vice Pres. Koung’s Office Distances Itself from “VP Jeremiah Kpan Koung Intellectual Response Team”

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The office of Vice President, Jeremiah Koung, has distanced itself from a group calling itself the “Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Intellectual Response Team.

According to a statement issued on Monday, October 27, 2025, Vice President Jeremiah Koung has no Knowledge of, connection to, or association with the group.

It said the Liberian Vice President has not authorized, endorsed, or sanctioned any individual or body to speak or act on his behalf under such nomenclature.

The Vice President’s Office is quoted as saying Vice President Jeremiah Koung remains deeply committed to working in full alignment with President Joseph Boakai to advance the national agenda and deliver on the priorities of good governance, economic stability, and social progress.

It maintained that Vice President Koung has no separate political or policy agenda outside of the collective vision and framework of the government of Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Vice President’s Office is urging the public to disregard statements, publications, or activities attributed to the group.
