Pres. Boakai Wants Accreditation of Educational Institutions Be Thoroughly Supervised…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai wants the accreditation of educational institutions in Liberia to be thoroughly supervised and coordinated.

President Boakai said:” The proliferation of substandard universities does not only undermine development but also stall the growth of Liberia’s future leaders.”

According to him, the youthful population deserves the best, and as such, the situation must collectively be addressed head-on.

The Liberian Leader called on the Education Ministry and the National Commission on Higher Education to initiate stringent measures that are crucial to remedy the situation, to propel growth.

Speaking at the 3rd Graduation Ceremony of the Margibi University in Margibi County over the weekend, President Boakai reechoed the government’s quest to deliver quality education to the people of Liberia.

The Liberian Leader encouraged the graduates to strive for excellence in the pursuit of higher education, adding that this is achieved through hard work, dedication, and determination.

According to him, it is time for citizens, especially the youth, to prioritize educational opportunities in building a vibrant country, stressing that the role of the university and other educational institutions in Liberia cannot be overstated at this time of rapid technological advancement.

The Visitor to the Margibi University reaffirmed the Liberian Government’s renewed commitment to advancing quality education in Liberia.
