MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s diplomatic partners, including Sierra Leone, Sweden, France, and Morocco, have renewed their commitment to supporting initiatives that support Liberia’s peace and security.

They collectively vowed to continuously support Liberia’s peacebuilding efforts that aim to bring citizens closer to maintaining national peace.

They described Liberia’s journey from a post-conflict nation to a peaceful nation as a regional model of stability.

The diplomatic partners highlighted the valuable importance of the National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security as a key component of sustaining national and global peace.

According to them, when women are empowered, protected and allowed to grow and thrive, the nation stands to benefit immensely.

They spoke Monday in New York at a high-level event organized by the Ministry of Gender on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
