MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has congratulated Liberia following its official response delivered by Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, to the Report of the AU’s Committee of Ten (C-10) on the UN Security Council Reform.

The C-10, led by Sierra Leonean President Maada Bio, presented its report during the 38th Session of the AU Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

An Executive Mansion release issued said former President Sirleaf praised Liberia’s firm stance and diplomatic engagement in advocating for Africa’s common position on the UN Security Council Reform.

Former President Sirleaf’s comment was in reaction to Minister Nyanti’s statement in which the Foreign Minister highlighted Liberia’s longstanding commitment to multilateralism and its dedication to strengthening Africa’s voice in global decision-making.

Minister Beysolow-Nyanti highlighted the importance of Africa speaking with one voice on this critical matter and urged continued solidarity among AU member states.

Ethiopian Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer, Mesfin Tasew paid a courtesy visit to President Joseph Boakai at Ethiopia’s Bole International Airport before President Boakai departed from the country.

During their engagement, Mr. Tasew expressed his deepest gratitude to President Boakai for the warm welcome extended by the Airline and lauded the resumption of flights to Monrovia.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, Mr. Tasew described the Airline’s resumption of flights as a significant milestone for regional integration and economic growth in Africa.

The discussion encompassed areas of mutual interest, including Ethiopian Airlines’ operations in Liberia, prospects for expansion, and the pivotal role of aviation in enhancing connectivity across the continent.
