Pres. Boakai Says Liberia Will Uphold Rule of Law…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai says the Liberian Government remains resolute in upholding the rule of law and fostering a society of inclusion.

President Boakai said:” The Government also envisions a society where citizens, despite social and political differences, will be treated equally before the law without fear or favor.”

He described the rule of law as the foundation of any strong democracy that ensures peace and creates an environment where citizens can thrive.

President Boakai made the statement at the induction of the new corps of officers of the Liberian National Bar Association on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Congo Town.

The Liberian Leader called for collaboration between members of the LNBA in strengthening the country’s hard-earned democracy and promoting the rule of law.

According to him, such a move is not only a necessity but a moral obligation for the government, the legal community, and the citizenry, respectively.

Meanwhile, President Boakai cautioned members of the Liberian National Bar Association to remain a beacon of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

According to the Liberian Leader, upholding integrity and ethical standards in the legal profession is a cornerstone to driving a fairer and improved justice system.

The Liberian Leader admonished the inducted officials to lead above partisan politics, as their contributions play a critical role in the growth and development of the country.
