Liberia’s Executive Mansion Appoints Several Ambassadors-at-Large…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Mansion has announced the appointment of several AmbassadorsatLarge to strengthen Foreign Policy Advisory and Special Duties.

Those appointed to the Policy Advisory Council include: Elias Shoniyin – Chair, Ambassadors Blamoh Nelson, Ethel Davis, Chris Moore, and Robert Lormia as members of the Council.

An Executive Mansion release termed the appointments as demonstrating the government’s commitment to enhancing Liberia’s diplomatic engagements, strengthening international partnerships, and advancing the nation’s foreign policy objectives.

According to the release, the appointments also highlight President Boakai’s dedication to strengthening Liberia’s presence on the global stage and ensuring that the country’s foreign policy is effectively shaped by experienced and knowledgeable individuals.

Meanwhile, the Government says it remains committed to fostering robust international relations, promoting economic diplomacy, and engaging with global partners to enhance development opportunities for the Liberian people.

At the same time, the Government has officially announced the establishment of a National Steering Committee for Liberia’s Bid for a Seat on the United Nations Security Council.

A release from the Executive Mansion issued recently named government officials, civil society leaders, and diplomatic advisors as strategic members of the formulated Committee.

According to the release, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Internal Affairs will serve as Chair and Co-Chairs of the National Steering Committee respectively.

President Boakai also appointed the Ministers of Justice, defense, State, Information, Gender, and the Director General of the Cabinet among others as members of the Committee.

The Liberian Leader has further mandated all those appointed and named to lead and coordinate efforts for Liberia’s campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UNSC.
