Pres. Boakai Pays Tribute to Late Nimba County Senator Johnson

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has paid tribute to the late Nimba County Senator, Prince Johnson, describing him as a hero in the nation’s political landscape.

President Boakai said:” Senator Johnson’s political acumen and capacity to connect with the masses earned him admiration from his supporters and respect from even his critics. Senator Johnson’s remarkable ability to influence and lead allowed him to be a force not only in Nimba County but across Liberia.”

According to the Liberian Leader, the fallen Senator’s leadership transcended regional lines, thus making him a key figure in shaping the country’s democratic process.

President Boakai said:” The fallen Senator’s role and contributions in Liberia’s political evolution will ever be carved in the archives of the nation’s history.”

Meanwhile, President Joseph Boakai is encouraging Liberians to honor the fallen Nimba County Lawmaker’s memory by continuing efforts of reconciliation and healing for the nation.

The Liberian Leader concluded his tribute by calling on Liberians to reflect on Senator Johnson’s legacy as an opportunity for unity and national healing.

He said:” As a nation that has faced significant challenges, it is time that Liberians pursue genuine reconciliation and peace, a path that Senator Johnson threaded on.”

President Boakai said the passing of Senator Johnson, whom he described as a central symbol in the history of Liberia should serve as an opportunity for citizens to unite in the face of adversity.

President Joseph Boakai made the remark when he paid tribute to the late Nimba County over the weekend in Ganta, Nimba County, where he was laid to rest.

At the same time, Vice President Jeremiah Koung has cautioned young people of Nimba County and beyond to cultivate the spirit of hard work and determination, because these are critical pillars required to build a prosperous future.

Vice President Koung encouraged the young people to shun lawlessness and laziness, and instead embrace hard work as a cornerstone of national unity and growth.

VP Koung then lauded citizens and the Government of Liberia for the massive support extended to Nimba County towards a successful funeral and burial of the late Senator Prince Johnson.

Also delivering the funeral discourse of the fallen Nimba County Lawmaker, the Bishop of the Faith Life Ministries International wants Liberians, especially politicians, to lead by example.

According to Bishop Paye Bagnon, this will encourage the younger generation to follow suit when allowed to lead.

Bishop Bagnon described Senator Johnson as a towering figure whose legacy in the education and political landscapes of the country will be remembered.

The Liberian Clergyman said:” Senator Johnson lived a distinct lifestyle that has and will continue to impact generations to come.”

Bishop Paye Bagnon, however, called on all Liberians to live an impactful life in the interest of national development.
