Pres. Boakai Attends Inauguration of Ghana’s President-elect John Mahama

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is among world leaders and other dignitaries participating in the inauguration of Ghana’s President-elect John Mahama in the Ghanaian capital, Accra.

Ghana’s President-elect was declared the winner of that country’s presidential election in December, last year.

The invitation by Ghana’s President-elect to his Liberian Counterpart to attend the historic event underscored the strong bond of friendship and cooperation that has long existed between the two countries.

An Executive Mansion release issued recently termed the invitation as a reaffirmation of both nations’ commitment to fostering regional unity, promoting democratic governance, and advancing development in West Africa.

According to the release, President Boakai’s participation in the ceremony further highlights Liberia’s steadfast dedication to regional peace, stability, and mutual collaboration.

Members of the President’s delegation include Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, and the Minister of State without Portfolio, Mamaka Bility, among others.
