Pres. Boakai Reassures Liberian Workforce of Reinstating Self-esteem

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reassured Liberians of the Liberian Government’s determination to restore dignity to the Liberian workforce.

President Boakai said:” Supporting a dignified workforce is pivotal to driving economic stability and improving the lives of the people. The empowerment and inclusion of the Liberian workforce are crucial steps towards the actualization of the ARREST Agenda.”

The Liberian Leader committed on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the dedication of a renovated material ward of the Pipeline Health Center in Paynesville City.

President Joseph Boakai, however, promised to provide citizens the opportunity to strive and contribute to nation-building, affirming the Government’s dedication to investing in the country’s Health Sector.

According to him, such investment will improve citizens’ access to healthcare delivery services across the country, when actualized.

The project, undertaken by the Office of the First Lady of Liberia, will cater to the health needs of thousands of pregnant women and baby mothers in the area.

President Joseph Boakai then lauded the implementing partners for augmenting the efforts in the provision of basic social services to the citizenry.

At the same time, Liberia’s First Lady, Kartumu Boakai, is urging Liberians to unite in addressing challenges confronting the country’s Health Sector, especially maternal and neonatal issues.

Madam Boakai said:” Addressing Liberia’s compelling health needs requires the collective efforts of all, regardless of social and political differences.”

She recommitted to leading efforts in championing calls to ensure that all women have access to better healthcare services in Liberia.

First Lady Kartumu Boakai described the project as a symbol of hope and resilience demonstrated by the people in advocating for an effective and efficient Health Care System.

Also speaking, UNFPA Country Representative to Liberia, Bidisha Pillai, has recommitted the UN support to Liberia Health Sector.

The UNFPA Country Representative said:” The UN is dedicated to partnering with the Office of the First Lady in the prevention of maternal deaths. The facility’s launch is a testament to the Government’s efforts to promote the health of its citizens, especially women and girls.”

Madam Pillai commended the First Lady’s efforts to champion maternal and newborn health and ensure that Liberia becomes a safe and healthier society.
