Gov. of Liberia Suspends Assistant Info Services Minister Nyanplu

MONROIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Mansion in Monrovia has announced the suspension of Assistant Minister for Information Services with immediate effect.

According to the Executive Mansion, Minister Matthew Nyanplu’s suspension stemmed from his breach of intra-agency communication protocols and acts unbecoming of a government official.

President Joseph Boakai, in the release, said:” The suspended official will serve his term without pay, and will also be subjected to an investigation to determine the need for further action.”

The release further noted that the suspension of Mr. Nyanplu arises squarely out of his unashamed disregard of established channels and not the merits or demerits of the issues he highlighted.

Meanwhile, President Joseph Boakai is cautioning all officials of the Government to always strive to carefully uphold standing guidelines governing internal operational procedures and general policy direction oof their institutions.
