Transport Ministry Begins Vehicles, Tricycles Inspection Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Transport will today Tuesday commence the inspection of motor vehicles and tricycles in Montserrado County and its immediate environs.

The one-month exercise is expected to be jointly carried out by the National Fire Service, the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the General Services Agency (GSA).

Speaking at the launch of the exercise on Monday, November 11, 2024, in Monrovia, Transport Minister, Sirleaf Tyler, said:” The process is intended to ensure that vehicle owners are in compliance with the law. The inspection also seeks to support the revenue generation of the Government of Liberia and protect the lives of citizens and resident by ensuring that drivers adhere to all transport related rules and regulations.”

Transport Minister Sirleaf Tyler then cautioned members of the inspection team to be rigid, but considerate in exercising their duties.
