Gov. Begins Diplomatic Engagements with Israel

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL-The Liberian Government has begun diplomatic engagements with Israeli authorities for the possibility of establishing a Liberian Embassy in that Asian nation.

It followed a bilateral meeting held between Presidents George Weah and Isaac Herzog on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in Jerusalem.

Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie said:” The establishment of an embassy in Israel will further cement the bilateral relations between the two nations.”

Minister Rennie also said Presidents Weah and Herzog discussed international peace and security, defense, health, and expansion of agriculture activities, with a focus on rice production as some key issues during the meeting.

The Liberian Information Minister said:” Political dividends from these engagements by President Weah will soon have a trickledown effect on Liberians.”
