MONROVIA, LIBERIA-More than 900 individuals have graduated from Gonet Academy following the completion of various professional training programs offered by the institution.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Kerkulah said a total of 909 individuals graduated from three programs, including the Comprehensive Professional Program, Diploma Program, and Foundation Certificate Program.
He disclosed that 208 graduates completed the Comprehensive Professional Program, 47 graduated from the Diploma Program, while 682 completed the Foundation Certificate Program.
According to Kerkulah, females accounted for 530 graduates, representing 58.3 percent, while 379 males represented 41.7 percent of the total graduating class.
He congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to pursue their dreams without limitations, emphasizing that professional education and skills development are important tools for personal growth and career advancement.
Kerkulah reflected on his personal journey, recalling that about six years ago, he was an intern earning approximately 100 United States dollars per month.
He said:” His experience motivated him to establish Gonet Academy, an institution he believes can create opportunities for young people to develop their skills and improve their professional lives”.
The Gonet Academy CEO said the institution has made significant progress within approximately five years, despite being a relatively young organization.
He attributed its growth to deliberate planning, commitment, and the decision to reinvest resources generated from its training programs into institutional development.
He explained that rather than using the institution’s resources for personal benefits and luxuries, the leadership has prioritized expanding its operations and creating better opportunities for students.
Kerkulah also announced that Gonet Academy acquired a property in March 2026 between 16th and 17th Streets in Sinkor, Monrovia, near the former Linzu Building and Smart Institute.
He said:” The institution intends to develop the property into a modern training facility within the next three to five years”.
According to him, the planned facility will strengthen the academy’s capacity to provide professional training and potentially attract students and professionals from across West Africa and beyond.
The CEO noted that although the institution currently operates from a small office on S.D. Cooper Road, it continues to reach students from different parts of Liberia through online training programs.
He said some students only visit the academy’s office when they come for graduation.
He encouraged the graduates to make meaningful use of the knowledge and skills they have acquired, remain committed to their goals, and use their professional training to contribute to their communities and the development of Liberia.
Gonet Academy offers professional training programs designed to equip individuals with practical knowledge and skills to improve their career opportunities and contribute to the country’s workforce.
