LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-A one-hundred percent Liberian-owned consultancy firm, GeoMining and Environmental Consultancy Incorporated, has highlighted the importance of local content and indigenous participation in Liberia’s mining and energy sectors.
The company made the call during its participation in the Liberia International Mining and Energy Conference and Expo, LIMEC 2026, held from October 28 to 29 in Margibi County.
Represented by its Executive Director, former Assistant Minister Carlos Tingban, GeoMining showcased its professional services and engaged potential investors and strategic partners.
The two-day conference, held under the theme, “Transforming Liberia’s Economy: Driving Development Through Sustainable Mining and Energy Investment,” brought together President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, government officials, international investors, diplomatic representatives, and industry experts.
GeoMining says Liberian-owned businesses must move beyond being observers and become active participants and beneficiaries of investment opportunities in the country’s mining, petroleum, and energy industries.
