Liberian Senate Cites Finance and Health Ministries…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has cited the Ministries of Finance and Health to provide Budget Performance Report and update on budget support to counties’ health systems.

It followed complaints from several Senators, including Darius Dillon, Gbleh-Bo Browne, Milton Teahjay, and Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence, among others.

The Budget Performance Report will cover line ministries, agencies, and commissions of the Liberian Government.

The two ministries will provide reasons why Government referral hospitals and clinics lack essential drugs when there are allocations made in the National Budget.

Meanwhile, authorities of both ministries are expected to appear Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
