“Stop Making Inciting Comment…”-Mr. Teah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A prominent citizen of Nimba County has criticized Senator Prince Johnson for making inciting comments following the disruption of normal service on Sunday at his church in Paynesville City.

Senator Johnson claimed that the people of Nimba County will protect and defend him if anything happens.

But responding, a retired General of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) and prominent citizen of the County, John Teah, termed Senator Johnson‘s statement as inciting and counterproductive to peace.

Mr. Teah said:” The comment is troubling and reminds citizens about the Country’s ‘dark days’.”

Meanwhile, Mr. John Teah is rallying the people of Nimba County to unite for the county’s development.

At the same time, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has described as a false and misleading, claim by Senator Prince Johnson that some supporters of the CDC disrupted his Sunday service.

Senator Johnson and some executives of the Unity Party (UP) alleged that on Sunday, May 21, 2023, a group of individuals wearing CDC regalia disrupted the activities of the Christ Chapel of Faith Ministry.

But in counter, the CDC National Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, has rejected the report, terming it as untrue and a misrepresentation of the Party.

Chairman Morlu said:” Claim made by Senator Johnson and the UP is aimed at buying public sympathy and to distract the Liberian people, ahead of the October 10 elections”.

Chairman Mulbah Morlu further noted that the CDC remains focused to ensure that President George Weah is re-elected to continue the Country’s development drive.
