Prez. Weah to depart Monrovia for Sinoe County in continuation of his third leg county-wide tour

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah is expected to depart Monrovia this weekend for Sinoe County to complete the third leg of his county-wide tour.

Last week, Internal Affairs Minister, Varney Sirleaf, said the trip to Sinoe County was put on hold because President Weah was attending some national and international engagements.

But speaking with ELBC Thursday, May 6, 2021, Deputy Presidential Press Secretary, Smith Toby, said all is now set for President Weah’s departure to Sinoe County this weekend.

Mr. Toby said, while in Sinoe County, the Liberian Leader will hold the usual town hall meetings in towns and villages to hear from the citizens regarding the development of their areas.

Meanwhile, Mr. Toby says the date and time for the trip to Lofa County will be concluded before the end of President Weah’s tour to Sinoe County.

At the same time, Sinoe County Superintendent, Lee Nagbe Chea, says all modalities have been worked out, ahead of President George Weah’s visit to the county.

Superintendent Chea described as historic and important President Weah’s pending visit to the people of Sinoe County.

He said, as part of the preparations, proper lodging and beautification of various cities have been completed to give the Liberian Leader and entourage a memorable visit.

Superintendent Chea also noted that citizens of Sinoe County are in high spirit to receive President Weah and delegation.
