National Elections Commission unveils propositions’ symbols for up-coming referendum

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – National Elections Commission, (NEC), has unveiled symbols representing propositions for the upcoming referendum.

The symbols include a passport, chair sun, and umbrella. The Passport will represent the citizenship proposition whether to allow people holding other nationalities to be Liberians.

NEC Chairperson Davidetta Browne-Lassana said the Chair will represent the tenure proposition for elected officials.

Madam Browne-Lassana also said the Sun and the umbrella will represent the change of election dates from rainy season to the dry season.

She told reporters Monday in Monrovia that more education on the proposition symbols will be done by civic voter educators in the various communities.
