Donald Trump, Extends Federal Guidelines on Social Distancing Until April

United States President, Donald Trump, has extended federal guidelines on social distancing until April 30, 2020.

President Trump said the extension period followed a top health official warning that more than 100 thousand people could die from the corona virus in the United States.

According to the Arab News Network, al Jazeera, the announcement Sunday evening came as the death toll in hard-hit New York State passed one thousand.

The initial 15-day period is due to expire today, Monday, March 30, 2020.

The US has 139,000 confirmed infections from the virus, more than any other country in the world, while more than 2,400 people have died.
