MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A visiting International Labor Organization (ILO) Delegation has concluded stakeholders’ engagements in Monrovia.
The delegation recommitted its unconditional support to the harmonization of the Decent Work Act and Civil Service Standing Order to protect both private and public sector workers.
While in Liberia, the delegation held talks with several government ministries and agencies, including the Labor and Justice Ministries, the Liberia Maritime Authority, and Liberia Chambers of Commerce, among others.
At a farewell dinner over the weekend, Labor Minister Cllr. Cooper Kruah said the ministry’s quest towards the synchronization of the two instruments is crucial and holistic to protect workers’ interests at workplaces.
In his remarks, the Head of the ILO Delegation, Prof. Diallo Yacouba, expressed delight over their mission to Liberia and reassured of his organization’s continued support for labor-related matters in Liberia.
