MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The International Labor Organization (ILO) has pledged its support to the impending National Labor Conference to be held soon in Liberia.

The conference aims to harmonize the legal frameworks governing workers in the country’s private and public sectors.

According to a Labor Ministry release, the assurance was made on Monday, September 29, 2026, when a high-level ILO delegation met with Labor Minister Cooper Kruah at his office in Congo Town as part of their week-long visit.

The ILO team, comprising Senior Program Officer Chinyere Emeka-Anuna, Skills and Employability Specialist Karim Toumi, and ILO Standards and Law Specialist Thomas Lieby, welcomed Minister Kruah’s efforts to harmonize the Decent Work Act.

In his remarks, Minister Cooper Kruah assured the delegation of the Liberian government’s full support and cooperation during the week-long visit.
