MONROVIA, LIBERIA The Witness Protection Agency (WPA) is urging citizens to play a more active role in the fight against corruption and other societal ills.

WPA Director Maxwell Grisby believes citizens can contribute by reporting wrongdoing and coming forward to testify, with protection provided under the country’s witness protection act.

Attorney Grisby argued now is the time for Liberians to confront corruption by providing information that can help the Government investigate and prosecute acts of wrongdoing.

On the Super Morning Show, Monday, Grisby challenged citizens to take advantage of provisions under the Witness Protection Act and report suspected wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities.

He maintained that exposing corruption could help the Government recover millions in public resources, which could be invested in programs and services to improve the lives of Liberians.
