MONROVIA-LIBERIA The Liberian government and the United States Government have reinforced their long-standing partnership at a high-level Maritime round-table in New York.

A Foreign Ministry dispatch says the two Countries affirmed practical cooperation around shared economic and security priorities.

The round-table was co-chaired by Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and the Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN, Michael Waltz.

The discussion focused on Maritime security, fisheries and the blue economy, and economic development opportunities of mutual interest to both Nations.

The release noted that the round-table underscored Liberia’s expanding role in global maritime affairs and its resolve to leverage its strategic maritime position to advance national economic interests.
