PAYNESVILLE CITY, MONTSERRADO COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Inner-City Mission Christ Embassy Liberia Vocational School has graduated more than eight hundred students from various skills training programs.
The graduates, who completed courses in catering, plumbing, electricity, beauty care, and tailoring, received certificates during the school’s tenth graduation ceremony held in Paynesville.
Speaking at the ceremony on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Country Head Pastor of Christ Embassy Liberia, Alfred Mayson, said” The church is focused on empowering young people through skills development”.
Pastor Mayson disclosed that the church plans to construct additional vocational schools across Liberia to expand access to technical and vocational education.
The Country Head Pastor urged the graduates to become change agents in their communities, as the institution continues to provide hands-on training aimed at promoting self-employment and job creation.
At the same time, Assistant Gender Minister, Ophelia Kennedy, has challenged graduates of the Inner-City Mission Christ Embassy Liberia Vocational School to use the skills they acquired to become agents of positive change in society.
Delivering the keynote address, Madam Kennedy described Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a key driver of job creation and national development.
She said” Vocational education is as valuable as a master’s degree, and the graduates should use their training to make meaningful contributions to the country’s growth”.
Madam Kennedy praised the administration for empowering young people with practical skills.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Gender Minister encouraged more women to break barriers and serve the country with dedication, describing their role as vital to sustainable development.
