MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC) will, on Wednesday, validate its five-year strategic plan.
The plan is aimed at strengthening the Commission’s response to the Liberia refugee regime, including migration governance, statelessness, and deportees across Liberia.
The three-day validation workshop will take place in Ganta, Nimba County.
It will bring together representatives from Government institutions, development partners, humanitarian organizations, civil society groups, and other key stakeholders to revise and endorse the strategic plan.
LRRRC Executive Director, Cllr. Jerror Cole Bangalu said:” The strategic plan will provide a comprehensive roadmap that will guide LRRRC’s work over the next five years”.
The document outlines key priorities, including enhancing
protection services for refugees and asylum seekers, promoting migration governance, Statelessness, and durable solutions for displaced populations.
Cllr. Bangalu added that the strategic plan will also strengthen institutional capacity, improve emergency preparedness and response, and expand partnerships with national and international stakeholders, among others.
