MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s support for initiatives that promote social protection and community welfare.
President Boakai made the reaffirmation recently when he received in audience a high-level delegation from the “Mother of Light Center” in Monrovia.
A release said the Liberian Leader lauded the group for spearheading humanitarian efforts across the country, through its commitment to support the vulnerable population.
The release named Abdullah Chahni, Sharon Cooper, Bishop Guy-Paul Noujaim, Gabrielle Debaneh, and Sami Fahed as some members of the high-level delegation.
The “Mother of Light Centre”, founded in 2019 as a Catholic non-profit organization, has been dedicated to serving the poor, the homeless, and vulnerable families.
According to the release, the Centre has made significant humanitarian contributions across communities, including the distribution of over seven hundred thousand pounds of food from 2024 to 2025.
