MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Chief Patron of Sports, President Joseph Boakai, has described the National County Sports Meet as a major platform for national reconciliation, peace, and unity.

President Boakai said,” The national tournament has, over the years, united Liberians from all political divides under an atmosphere that echoes higher than individual interests”.

Delivering a special message on the National County Sports Meet over the weekend, President Boakai reminded Liberians that the medium is through which discipline and unity are upheld.

The Chief Patron of Sports acknowledged the athletes to exercise the highest level of discipline, professionalism, and respect for the laws that govern sports.

He, at the same time, called on citizens to reject vices that tend to divide the nation and strive for national progress.
