Pres. Boakai Stresses Probable Business, Investment in Lofa County

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has highlighted the potential for business and investment in Lofa County, especially with its strategic location.

President Boakai underscored the importance of continued support from the citizens of Lofa County for the development of the county.

The President also emphasized the significance of unity and collaboration among different political parties for the development of the country.

President Joseph Boakai then praised the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Thomas Fallah, for his efforts in building unity and collaboration among community members.

At the same time, the Deputy Speaker wants citizens of Lofa County to put aside their personal ego and forge a united front for the development of the county.

He said,” If Lofa County must evolve, it is about time that citizens begin to put the interest of the county above individual and political differences”.

The Lofa County Lawmaker believes that the development of the county must become a collective responsibility of all, including youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

Representative Fallah was speaking at a Special Town Hall Meeting in Lofa County recently, which brought together scores of traditional leaders, eminent, as well as ordinary citizens.

The Deputy Speaker used the occasion to assure the people of Lofa County of his unflinching support towards the forward march of the county.

Meanwhile, the citizens, in separate but coordinated remarks, lauded President Boakai for the ongoing efforts to improve their livelihoods.

They named the procurement of additional financing for the Salayea to Konia Road Corridor as a major step towards development.

They also highlighted efforts being made in the agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, and human capital development sectors.

However, the citizens called on the Government of Liberia to address challenges facing the country, ranging from the availability of affordable and reliable electricity to the provision of better healthcare services.
