MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is in Abidjan to attend the inauguration of the President-elect of the Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara.

Ouattara, eighty-three, was reelected for the third term in October this year.

Both the Ivory Coast and Liberia share deep historical connections, especially in the areas of diplomacy, security, trade, and infrastructure.

President Boakai’s attendance is a testament to the strong bond of friendship and mutual respect existing between both nations.

The Liberian Leader is among several other regional and global leaders invited to attend the ceremony, taking place in the Ivorian capital.
