Pres. Boakai Eulogizes Late Elizabeth Miatta Armstrong

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has described the death of Elizabeth Miatta Armstrong as a great loss to the Education Sector and the Liberian Community in the Americas.

President Boakai said,” The late Elizabeth Miatta Armstrong, who was a long-time resident of Atlanta, Georgia, embodied the spirit of active citizenship and a committed participant of civil life”.

The President’s eulogy was conveyed by Liberia’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Al-Hassan Conteh, over the weekend in the United States.

In his message, President Boakai said,” The fallen legend was more than a compatriot, a neighbor, and a steadfast supporter of programs, aspirations, and vision for a stronger and more united Liberia.

The Liberian Leader noted that Miss Armstrong’s commitment to improving the educational system through the provision of scholarship and intellectual growth will forever be remembered.

Miss Elizabeth Miatta Armstrong, who died late October this year, was regarded as a staunch supporter of the ideas and visions of President Joseph Boakai and the Unity Party.
