African Women Educationalists Pays Courtesy Call to Education Ministry

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education on Monday received a courtesy visit from the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) to reinforce ongoing collaboration in STEM, TVET, and girls’ education.

During the meeting, FAWE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Liberia and disclosed that this enhanced cooperation will soon be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

FAWE also shared that Liberia has been selected for its regional program, “The Second Chance Pathway to Increase Access to Tertiary Education.”

The initiative is expected to benefit approximately one thousand one hundred Liberian learners, including students with disabilities, by expanding access to tertiary education and providing additional support for skills and career readiness.

Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, welcomed the delegation and emphasized that supporting girls’ education and inclusive learning remains a central priority for the Ministry.

She said the ministry looks forward to continued collaboration with FAWE in advancing opportunities for learners across the country.
