Liberians Observe Today, Thursday, November 6 as Nat’l Thanksgiving Day

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberians across the country are today, Thursday, November 6, observing National Thanksgiving Day.

It followed a Presidential Proclamation, declaring the First Thursday in November of each year as Thanksgiving Day in accordance with an Act of the National Legislature.

The Proclamation called on Liberians and foreign residents, Priests, Imams, Pastors, and religious organizations to gather in their various places of worship to pray for God’s continued protection.

Underscoring the significance of the day, a release from the Foreign Ministry urged citizens to give thanks and adoration to God for His dispensation of grace, mercy, and providence, as well as the perseverance of lives.

The Proclamation recounted the multiple blessings, tender mercies, and protection God has and continues to bestow upon Liberia during times of peace, disaster, and natural phenomena over the years.
