Fmr. Vice President Howard-Taylor Goes to Jail

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has been jailed at the Monrovia Central Prison on drug trafficking charges.

It followed her appearance on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice.

Madam Howard-Taylor was recently charged with multiple drug counts amid an ongoing investigation into cocaine busts.

He appearance in court had been delayed on compassionate grounds after she fell ill while in police custody.
