MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police (LNP), Col. Gregory Coleman, has promised to deploy officers from the Police Support Unit (PSU) in Careysburg to restore safety to the area.
Col. Coleman said criminal activities are said to be on the increase in the area and, as such, the PSU officers will proactively engage the community to deter crimes.
Making the disclosure to journalists recently, Col. Coleman noted that the police are also aware of public outcry about the illegal sale of land in the city.
The Inspector General encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities and assured them that safety remains a priority for the police force.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Careysburg, Edwin Urey, has lauded the LNP for the decision to deploy PSU officers in the area.
In another development, the Township Commissioner of Louisiana, Moses White, has dedicated new classrooms at the J.W.A. Richard Public School.
The ceremony, which took place over the weekend, brought together teachers, students, community members, the Representative of Montserrado County, and the County Superintendent, among others.
Commissioner White said,” The classrooms mark a vital step towards enhancing the learning environment for students, and the cost of the infrastructure is valued at over thirteen thousand US Dollars”.
Commissioner White concluded by thanking supporters for contributing to the initiative.
Meanwhile, the Principal of the J.W.A. Richard Public School, Tayata Sirleaf, has expressed gratitude to Commissioner Moses White for the support and resources provided by the township.
