Civil Service Agency Director General, Dr. Josiah Joekai, has emphasized the crucial role civil servants play in achieving national development.
Dr. Joekai described Civil Servants as the backbone of the government’s success, adding that without them, it is almost impossible to implement government development plans.
He spoke on Tuesday during the celebration of the Civil Servants Day in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
The CSA boss noted that Liberia continues to observe the occasion annually to recognize the vital role public servants play in building and sustaining a prosperous, democratic, and accountable society.
Dr. Joekai added that the day remains important because it reminds us that effective governance, sustainable development, and national transformation are only possible through competent institutions and dedicated public servants.
Meanwhile, the Liberia Maritime Authority has been recognized as the Best Performing Public Institution of 2026 during the National Public Service Day celebrations in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
The recognition highlights the Authority’s commitment to excellence, accountability, innovation, and the effective delivery of public services in support of the Government’s national development agenda.
The award was received on behalf of the Authority by Commissioner Neto Lighe, who dedicated the honor to the management and staff of the Authority.
