Inter-Party Youth Council Clarifies Legal Establishment……

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- The Inter-Party Youth Council of Liberia has rejected claims that it was established during a recent two-day youth dialogue organized by the Federation of Liberian Youth.

In a release issued recently, the Inter-Party Youth Council described the assertions as inaccurate and misleading.

The Council also clarified that it was conceived, organized, and legally established by youth chairpersons of registered political parties before the recent dialogue took place.

The release is quoted as saying that the dialogue was to strengthen institutions, stakeholder engagement, and the presentation of the Council’s legal and governance framework.

The Inter-Party Youth Council has since warned those spreading misleading information about the organization to desist, adding that such an act could undermine the core values of the body.

Meanwhile, the Council is calling on the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY) to correct the public record and refrain from making statements that misrepresent the Council’s establishment and status.

The Inter-Party Youth Council, however, reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration with youth organizations, civil society groups, government institutions, and international partners in promoting democratic participation.

The Council also urged young Liberians, regardless of political affiliation, to embrace unity, dialogue, and responsible leadership as the country continues its democratic journey.
