Central Bank of Liberia, Liberia Marketing Asso., Partners to Launch Nationwide “clean note” Campaign

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), in collaboration with the Liberia Marketing Association and partners, is set to launch what it calls ‘a nationwide “clean note” campaign to protect the Liberian dollar banknotes.

CBL Corporate Communications Manager, Cllr. Alphonso Zeon said,” The Liberian Dollar banknotes constitute the pride of the country, and as such, they must be handled with respect and decency”.

He disclosed that more than 1 billion Liberian dollars of the new family banknotes, printed in 2022, are being damaged due to squeezing and stamping, among other poor handling practices.

Speaking on the Super Morning Show on Thursday, Cllr. Zeon wants citizens involved with the poor handling of the Liberian dollar banknotes to desist.

Meanwhile, Liberia Marketing Association President, Elizabeth Sambollah, has pledged the Association’s support to ensuring that the campaign resonates with every marketer in the Country.
