MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Director General, Eugene Fahngon, says the entity is poised to establish a sub-station in Saclepea, Nimba County.
According to Director General Fahngon, over the weekend, LBS Management secured an acre of land in Saclepea for the construction of a new sub-station for the people of Nimba County.
He disclosed that the project is aimed at executing the President’s mandate on improving the coverage of the State Broadcaster across the fifteen sub-divisions of the country.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the project, according to Mr. Fahngon, is expected to take place next week.
Director General Fahngon, at the same time, disclosed that the Management is set to secure another acre of land in Grand Cape Mount County for the construction of a new sub-station.
The LBS Boss made the statement on Monday, July 7, 2025, on the ELBC “Super Morning Show” program, following his tour in Bong and Nimba Counties over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Management of LBS has given a three-week ultimatum to the Voice of Bong radio station owned by Bong County District-Three Representative, Marvin Cole, to depart the entity’s property.
Director Fahngon says a team from LBS had a dialogue with the Management of Radio Bong to vacate the site before July 30.
The LBS Boss maintained the Management remains committed to ensuring that the State Broadcaster possesses its properties across the country.
Director General Eugene Fahngon said, “The move is aimed at providing quality coverage of radio and television broadcast as part of LBS constitutional mandate.”
