Liberians Honor Sen. Jack Reed, Pres. Boakai Urges Liberians Home, Abroad …..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is urging Liberians home and abroad to support programs and policies that empower youth development and participation.

President Boakai said:” This can be achieved by supporting education initiatives that promote youth growth and stimulate national cohesion. Advancing the growth of Liberians in every sector of society is the surest way to tap into the benefits and potentials of the Country.”

The Liberian Leader made the remarks at the honoring ceremony of Rhode Island Senator, Jack Reed, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the United States.

President Joseph Boakai hailed the US Congressman for contributing to the passage of the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act of 2019, a document that is impacting the lives of many Liberians in the US.

Meanwhile, US Congressman Jack Reed has described as enormous the contributions of the Liberian Community in the growth of Rhode Island.

Senator Reed said:” The Community has, over the years, played a crucial role in the economic, social and political vibrancy of the State.”

According to the US Senator, members of the Liberian Community have continued to demonstrate that hard work, dedication, and commitment are key attributes to acquiring a better future.

Congressman Jack Reed extolled President Joseph Boakai and members of the Liberian Community for the recognition, promising to continue programs that promote the values of the Liberian Community.
