Press Union of Liberia Interim Committee Releases Re-run Election Timetable

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) Interim Committee has released the timetable for the re-run of the disputed election of November 19, 2022, in Gbarnga, Bong County.

According to the timetable, the second provisional membership roster for verification will be released from September 5 to 10, while the final roster will be released on September 14.

The release of the roster is consistent with the Union’s Constitution and CODE OF Conduct after the list is cleaned and mandated by the Court.

On September 16, the Committee will restate the candidates in the 2022 disputed election and open campaign beginning September 17 to 20.

On the day of the Extraordinary Congress, a candidates’ debate will be held, followed by polling, counting, and announcement of votes.

From September 22 to 23, grievances arising from the process will be received and addressed by the Committee.

Meanwhile, preparation for the induction of the Officers election will take place on September 30, the 60th Anniversary of the Union.
